Organic vs Pay Per Click


What is SEO? The abbreviation stands for Search Engine Optimization, and it the process by which you can ensure that your website has the best possible visibility on a search engine, like Google, for example.

Natural, or organic results, are earned, rather than bought, and are achieved by including relevant keywords into your site, the process for doing so will vary depending on how your site is built. These keywords can then be picked up by search engines, and matched to terms entered by a searcher. Another organic method of improving the SEO of your site is backlinking, a process in which you have a link to your website included on the page of another website, called an inbound link. Google, for example, will give your site a higher relevance rating, the greater the number of inbound links you have on your site.

Paid SEO, or SEM (Search Engine Marketing), which has similarities with SEO, but is, at a basic level, very different.
